Pilastered.com is a wide-ranging blog that covers books, design, architecture, and history. The design is aimed to convey the wide variety of aesthetics interests that the site covers, from historic ornament to contemporary developments in style and to be easy to navigate and read on screen. The static design was translated and coded into HTML for use in conjunction with an open source, database driven content management system that allows for easy updating and organization of content. In addition to designing the site, I also edit the site and contribute content. The site can be visited at www.pilastered.com.
