This postcard was designed to announce the California College of the Arts Baccalaureate Exhibition to parents of graduating students and the public. Because the show featured a diverse range of work the design had to embody the spirit of the exhibition without showing the work of specific participants. The postcard utilizes abstract imagery to suggest a range of disciplines, styles, and also makes reference to the school’s verdant Oakland campus and modernist San Francisco buildings.
