This catalog was designed to accompany the gallery installation of Swiss artist Thomas Hirschhorn at the Wattis Institute. Containing conceptual texts by the artist, curatorial essays, and images of the artists work, the catalog is the physical remainder of the artist’s ephemeral installation. The artist desired a straightforward unstudied aesthetic to match the material quality of his work and to provide an institutional critique of the normally lavish gallery publication and artist’s monograph.
