The goal of this project was to create a movie trailer for the fictional DVD re-release of a classic movie without using footage from the film. This trailer for Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey contrasts the movie’s futuristic and psychedelic vision of the future with the mundane and domestic reality of actual life in the 21st century. It was animated and composited in AfterEffects.
This wordmark was developed as part of a comprehensive identity system for a proposed alternative country record label. Unadorned was chosen as the name of the new label based on the genre’s disdain for overproduced sound and the love of authentic, simple, and direct song writing. The wordmark graphically references the long musical roots of the genre and embodies the sophisticated and unpretentious character of the music.
This CD package was developed as part of a comprehensive identity system for a proposed alternative country record label Unadorned. The packaging continues the graphic language and themes of the associated poster and wordmark. As it is opened inner light in the form of the incased CDs, the music, is revealed from behind the clouds.
